For Potential Mentors

Although Mentor Connection provides health education in the form of externships and didactic learning environments, the central element that sets it apart from other student and volunteer programs is the mentor component. Our belief in the importance of a nurturing, consistent and engaging support system is imbued in all aspects of this initiative and we make a concerted effort to recruit both students and professionals who are willing to make this commitment.

For our students, many of whom come from underserved communities, the presence of an adult figure who can  impart practical advice, communicate personal stories and act as a guide and confidante, makes all the difference to their futures.
